The last few decades have seen impressive growth and poverty reduction across Asia, but inequality is on the rise and the benefits of growth are increasingly going to those at the top.

On November 2017, Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) leaders gathered together in Hanoi, Vietnam, for the annual APEC Leader's Week and CEO Summit. This briefing paper sets out how APEC member states and business leaders can use the opportunity of the summit to move in a new direction – one that is in line with the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), where the Asian economy works for everyone, not just the few.
