Oxfam in Asia and Asia Centre in June announced the names of eight young fellows selected for the 2024 Oxfam Young Leaders Fellowship Programme. Chosen from a highly competitive pool of over 1000 applicants across Asia, these individuals will begin their journey this month with us.
Our fellows come from a remarkable range of backgrounds across India, Indonesia, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Timor Leste, Vietnam and The Philippines and bring diverse experiences to the table. Yet, they share a powerful common thread: a desire for an equal future. Over the next nine months, they will be mentored by colleagues at the regional platform into Oxfam’s core areas of work -- climate justice, gender justice, digital rights, economic justice, business & human rights, public mobilisation and communication. The Fellows will also explore networks and spaces within their home countries to mobilize young people around critical issues.
