Typhoon Mangkhut hit the Philippines on 15 September 2018. Clean water and shelter are urgently needed in the most affected areas. Oxfam and partners are sending clean water, jerry cans and are preparing to distribute tarpaulin shelters.
Oxfam joined the Citizens' Disaster Response Center, and Cagayan Valley Disaster Response Center to provide on-site situational updates and conduct rapid needs assessments of areas impacted byTyphoon Mangkhut.
The joint assessment teams of Oxfam and its partner, Citizens’ Disaster Response Center (CDRC), witnessed the destructive force of Ompong, known internationally as Super Typhoon Mangkhut.
