“ Five Years on: Rohingya realities and hopes”
Oxfam International wants to celebrate and highlight the work of Rohingya artists on our social media channels throughout August 2022 and beyond.
While the news is often focused on the Rohingya refugee crisis, the voices and perspectives of Rohingya people are often absent from larger media narratives. As Oxfam, we want to change this. The Rohingya Arts Competition is one way we can help share the talents and amplify the voices and perspectives of Rohingya people. Oxfam International is inviting all Rohingya artists to submit by 22 July, 2022 a maximum of two original creative pieces that fit with the theme of “Five years on: Rohingya realities and hopes.” Submissions can include visual art, poetry, song, crafts, video, or other creative forms of expression. All submissions must be sent to arts2022@oxfam.org by 22 July and meet the requirements outlined below, including a description of the artwork and the artist (as outlined in the section “How to Apply”). We strongly encourage submissions from Rohingya women artists.
